15 Breakfast Foods That Are Secretly Ruining Your Day

5. Fruit juice

Having coffee and orange juice for breakfast is a great idea, isn't it? There's nothing wrong with having a small glass of juice (around 150ml) as part of a balanced breakfast. If you drink much more than that each day, you will have problems. Think about oranges: how many could you eat in one sitting? We can guess one or two. You could consume twice as much if you drink a large glass of freshly squeezed orange juice (your own or from a store). As with any other fruit used to make juice, oranges are healthy. They are rich in vitamin C, minerals and vitamins. But they also contain fructose, a sugar found in fruits. In other words, if you eat one or two oranges, you're not getting a lot of fructose. When you consume more than four oranges at one time as a drink, you are consuming more sugar than you think. If we drink fruit juice for breakfast alone, we may feel hungry very soon after. Because you're not consuming the pulp, fruit juice also removes the fiber from the fruit. Fiber is important for gut health. So eat whole fruits and avoid fruit juices with added sugars!
