4. Muffins and pastries

Although muffins are delicious, let's face it, eating them for breakfast means we're basically eating cake for breakfast, and surely that's only on our birthdays? It's still more or less a cake even if it's labeled as "healthy", like a blueberry muffin filled with fruit.
Although a blueberry muffin doesn't contain much fruit, it's at least healthier than a plain muffin or worse, a chocolate chip muffin. If you're going to choose a muffin for breakfast, choose a fruit. Even then, save it for an occasional treat! Blueberries are an excellent source of antioxidants and vitamins that keep the immune system strong.
Cheese muffins, which are high in saturated fat, can also be a healthier option, but be careful with savory muffins. We've seen muffins made with zucchini and minimal sugar, which may not check the sugar cravings box, but they certainly won't set you back from your day.
If we don't want a sugar overload at breakfast, we should definitely leave those baskets of delicious breakfast pastries in hotels.
