Sophie was only four years old, so she didn't know the passage of time. However, even she felt that the ambulance should have been her by now, but she hadn't even heard the sirens yet. She was always by her mother's side and spoke reassuring words to her, not knowing if she would be heard.
Hear the sirens
As soon as Sophie heard the sirens, she ran to the living room to wait for them. She could hear heavy footsteps running up the stairs of their building and stopping outside their door. “Sophie?” » shouted one of the men. "I am here !" she replied.
