For generations, this breed was bred for dog fighting, giving them a bad reputation. This breed is known for its temper, and when it attacks, it often doesn't let go. Studies show that pit bulls are responsible for 30% of fatal dog bites. Of course, there are affectionate, family-friendly Pit Bulls, but families with children may want to be safe rather than sorry.
