5. Hide nail holes with pencils

These nail holes hurt your eyes when you remove the decorations. If you don't want to painstakingly paint over the holes, you can use a matching pencil to make them disappear. Rub the pencil over the hole as if coloring it. As the pencil fills in the holes, the wall will become smooth again.
